TRIBUTE TO MY DEAR FATHER (Sir)
It was shocking and terrible thing when I heard that you are no more. I remembered your words of advice to me and my family, how you helped us to bring up my children, morally and otherwise. Your jokes and loving kindness, sir your death is an irreparable loss to us which no one can replace.
Sir, it is so painful that we are missing you this time but God Almighty knows why he allowed it to happen.
Papa, sir, as we generally called you, Bye Bye, till we meet again.
Mrs. Irene Ufomba (1st Daughter)

TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED FATHER

I don’t know where to begin, all I keep thinking, this brings tears to my eyes, you were my rock, you were everything to me, you did things for me, you did things for all of us. You left us but it was too soon for me sir, in fact I lose your advice. Nobody will fill up this space only God, sir your dearth was a great shock to me, even till now I have not recovered. It was a great loss to us the entire family, but believes with God there is still hope for us. You are the best father and the greatest example. I love you sir and I will see you again.

Sleep well, sir,
 your son,
Obioma Anthony Nweke.

TRIBUTE TO OUR BELOVED FATHER AND GRAND PA
Sir, we sincerely appreciate what you have done for us on this earth, you built home for us, you built our family, you gave us hope and care, your footsteps we shall always follow, sir, we know and we are sure you are sleeping in the bosom of the Lord, Amarachi and Chukwuemeka are saying Papa farewell, we shall see you in Glory on the Glorious day. AMEN.
Family of Nweke Ndubuisi Onyebuchi

TRIBUTE TO MY RARE GEM FATHER
I found it hard to believe that you are no more; my eyes and heart are heavy because of your exit. The vacuum created by your death is what cannot be replaced. You were a lover of God and humanity, a wise and humbly man. You fought and have finished the race……the crown is now yours.
Adieu sir,
Adieu Nna oma
Adieu Nna  hurum n’anya
Dinaa  nke oma, ka chineke nara mgburuobi gi.
Mrs. Ijeoma Innocent

TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED FATHER
(Mrs Ihuoma Azubuike)
You slept off, no farewell words spoken, no time to say good Bye, you had gone before I knew it, only God knows why. I was visibly shaken by the loss of a valuable Father like you; you were indeed a Father in a Million. You were a role model loved by all.
Words are not adequate to describe the enviable roles you played in our upbringing from the cradle until you left us. You taught us humility; we are however consoled by your good works and the fact we have an opportunity to meet again on the resurrection morning.
May the Almighty God grant your soul eternal rest.  Amen.

Mrs. Ihuoma Azubuike
(3rd daughter)

TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED FATHER.
Sir it seems to me like a dream that are yet to come to reality that you have died. I thought that your sickness will come and pass but death says no. Nnam I see you as a father who has idea, wisdom and passion to people. You tried for us after the death of our mother, you were like a mother and father to us, but death did not allow you to benefit from your children….. God knows why?
Daddy, papam, Omere nke nne mee nke nna, Ome Udo, rest in peace.
Miss Chinyere Anthony
(Daughter)

TRIBUTE TO OUR DADDY (SIR)
It is so painful that you had to exist so sudden but what can I say or do. It is still like a dream and incredible that you are no more on this earth, you are no more to stand by me, you were a wonderful father indeed, too good to be missed.
I always enjoyed your discussion and advice. Oh! Death why did you take my best father, friend, mentor and companion away from me? We your children will not forget your principles or the legacy you live on earth. We love you but God love you most. Rest in peace.
Papa, sir mu, onyeobioma, Nnaomaanyi, Nna udo,

Mrs. Uloma Adeyinka
(5th daughter)

TRIBUTE TO MY AMIABLE FATHER,
Sir.

Papa, you were a caring father, a man of courage, a teacher, an excellence, an achiever, and a genius of our time I wonder why death struck you so early when you have not reaped the fruit of your labour.
Papa, I remember   your thought for us, the legacies you left for us, your loving kindness to people around you, your humility, and your popularity.    You were such a good man not only to your family but also to anyone who identified with you.
You told us stories, of things that happened when were not born, you counselled wisely, all the time you stood by the truth, “IZU BU NKA”.
Sir, as you are fondly called by all, indeed you are a great Man, a peace maker, a helper, an adviser, a humble man, a God fearing man, a Man of Faith, Father of all, we miss you.
Death does not know anything for killing you.  It is true that this is the time I need you most, but my joy is that you are resting at the right hand of the Almighty.
We miss you but we know that God loves you most.
Sir, Big Daddy, Loving father, Nna Oha, Sleep well!  Sleep well!! Sleep well!!!

Miss Stella Chisom Anthony
Daughter.

TRIBUTE TO LATE GREAT SERVANT CHIEF ANTHONY SIR NWEKE
(IZU BU NKA 1 OF ETEGHA NA AGBOHO)
Today…….we are rejoicing for life well spent of our in-law, father, uncle and grandfather. On the 5th day of April, the will of God came to fulfillment in the life of this great man of God. It is not how long you spent on earth rather how well you did. I was happy when I heard the demise of my great in-law who is lying lifelessly. God knows why he needed him now that we needed him most.
The vacuum he created will be too difficult to be replaced. No matter what people says, my happiness is that every living soul must surely reap whatever he or she sow.
My icon, philanthropist, my mentor, man of the people, Ohuru obia agbankwa, Chief Izu bu nka 1, Gaa Ije gi nke oma…….Onyenweanyi mara ije gi.
Good bye
Elder Onyebuchi Ufomba
(First in-law).

TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER IN-LAW
Where do I start? Where do I stop? You were important and well meaning to me and my family at large. You perfectly understood others and shared their problems, Joy and Sorrow with them. Death why now? Sir, why now? I promise to keep to all your parental advice and father in-law advice to me.
Relax in God’s bosom, while we pray for the repose of your souls. Good night.
Adieu sir, rest in perfect peace. Amen

Azubuike   Polycarp  Ajuonu
Son in - law.

TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER INLAW

What shall I say about my father in-law who did everything humanly possible to make sure I become comfortable mother in my matrimonial home.
He was always there for me especially in times of difficulties. He always pray for me and bless me, no matter how little my effort is. Sir, you are a wonderful father in-law, adviser, guardian, lover of poor, my children’s admirer, my hope, my pride.
Relax in God’s bosom while we pray for the repose of your soul, till we meet to part no more.

Mrs. Nwankego Obioma Anthony
Daughter inlaw.

TRIBUTE TO MY UNCLE
O death, how wicked you are. Since the death of my parent, I had no other father but my uncle, sir I wish you are alive to keep calling me on phone the way you used to call, even my wife, will greatly miss you. You always call to know how we are doing all the time. May Almighty God accept your soul, farewell Sir.  May your soul rest in peace.

Austin & family.

TRIBUTE TO ‘SIR’: DAD’S BROTHER, FRIEND AND CONFIDANT

We all miss you dearly.

Thank you so very much for all the good times whenever we visited, especially the ‘yam and vegetable delicacy’ that you personally prepared on many occasions. We always felt very welcomed.

We will always remember your gentleness and serene approach to life.

We have no doubt that we shall see you again on the Last Day.

Rest in peace, Sir!

From: Martin Dioka Nwaogu’s Family.

A TRIBUTE TO MY GRAND DADDY

If not that I was around and witnessed the death of Sir, my grand Daddy, I wouldn’t have believed that he is no more, because we never expected this now. But I can’t question God; He is a Great God and knows all things.
I can remember any day, anytime I went to my maternal home, he will give me a very big yam to carry home, but unfortunately death met him, only one day, my brethren,  who will give me yam again, who will ask me about my education, who will encourage me in every situation.
But in everything, it is well because in the book of Ecclesiastes, there is time for everything, and a time for every purpose under the heaven, a time to born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to reap, therefore he has gone to see his creator, to give account.
Sir may your gentle soul rest in peace, Amen.
PAPA, GAA NKE OMA.

KASARACHI NKASIOBI.

TRIBUTE TO MY GRAND PA

Sir, you were symbol of love and icon of quality, an epitome of generosity and embodiment of honesty. How we say that death is wicked, without understanding the scripture, without understanding the time we are into today “Nna Anyi” has gone, to give an account of what he has done on earth. No wonder the bible says that everything on earth has it own time. A time to be born; and a time to die.
Sir, as was generally called was a cheerful giver of his things, a hardworking man. He so much encourages his people and anyone around him, in things that will help all in life.
Sir, was so much concern about education, during the time I was staying with him, he will make sure your materials for school are in order. He will wake me up as early as 4:30am to go and prepare for school so that I will not be late to school. He will also encourage and help  me to do my assignments, read my books, what a wonderful, superb and terrific grandfather I have, but now, death has taking him away from me.
Nobody has right to question God,
Sir, peace maker, goodnight, rest in peace.

Christian Onyebuchi  (CHINWE)

TRIBUTE TO MY GRAND FATHER

Chai!  sir is it how you left me, so what you mean I will not see you again. But only God knows everything before you die. Sir this kind of thing pains me. Sir I love you so much in my life because you are the man of no problems, the humble man, courage man, and a good adviser.
Good night until we meet to part no more.

Iheanyichukwu Eberechi Onyebuchi

TRIBUTE TO OUR BELOVED GRAND FATHER.

Sir you were a wonderful grandfather indeed. Too good to be missed, we always give thanks to God for giving us such a nice grandfather.  Your departure has created a very big vacuum in our life……we would have needed your presence a little long.
Sir, you were a virtuous man.  A man of peace, dignity, honour, Integrity, transparency and respect. A God fearing man and a great historian. May your soul continue to sleep in the bosom of the lord were peace reigns.
By Uchenna, Chijioke, Chizaram and Pascal Onyebuchi.

TRIBUTE TO A MAN OF PEACE (GRAND PA)
Sir, how painful it is to know and live with the consciousness that there will never be a time without you again…..we believe there is time for everything. We will greatly miss those times you joked with us.
Rest in the Lord, till we meet to part no more.

LITURGY OF THE WORD
FIRST READING
A READING FROM THE BOOK OF
Daniel 12:1-3
The angel wearing linen clothes said, at the time, the great Angel Michael, who guards your people, will appear. Then there will be a time of troubles, the worst since nations first came into existence. When that time comes, all the people of your nation whose name are written in Gods book will be saved. Many of those who have already died will live again, some will enjoy eternal life, and some will suffer eternal disgrace.  The wise leaders will shine with all the brightness of the sky. And those who have thought many people to do what is right will shine like the stars forever.
This is the word of God
Responsorial Psalm. (PS 23)
RESPONSE: The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.
1)       The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. Fresh and green are pastures where he gives me reposes, near restful waters he leads me to revive my drooping spirit. R
2)       He guides me along the right path; He is true to His name. If I should walk in the valley of darkness, no evil would I fear. You are there with your crook and your staff, with these, you give me comfort. R
3)       You have prepared a banquet for me in the sight of my foe, my cup is overflowing. R
4)       Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life in the Lord’s own house shall I dwell forever and ever

Second Reading;
A reading from the letter of St Paul to the Thessalonians 4:13-18
We want you to be quite certain, brothers, about those who have fallen asleep, to make sure that you do not grieve for them, as others do, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and in the same way, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. We can tell you this from the Lords own teaching, that we who are still alive for the Lord’s coming will not have any advantage over those who have fallen. At the signal given by the voice of the Archangel and triumphant of God, the Lord himself will come down from heaven, those who have died in Christ will be the first to rise, and only after that shall we who remain alive be taken up in the clouds, together with them, to meet the Lord in the air. This is the way we shall be with the Lord forever. With such thoughts as these, then you should encourage one another.
This is the word of the Lord.

GOSPEL;
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John (John 17-27)
On arrival at Bethany, Jesus found that he has been in the tomb for four days already. Bethany is only about two miles from Jerusalem, and many Jews had come to Martha and Mary to sympathize with them over their brother. When Martha heard that Jesus had come, she went to meet him.  Mary remained sitting in the house. Martha said to Jesus, if you had been here, my brother would not have died, but I know that, even now, whatever you ask of God, he will grant it. Jesus said; I am the resurrection. If anyone believes in me, even though he dies he will live, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this? Yes, Lord, said I believe that you are the Christ, the son of God, the one who was to come into this world.
This is the Gospel of the Lord

Prayer of the faithful
Let us pray with faith and confidence to God our father who lives and who can do all things. As He raised His son Jesus Christ from the dead. So may He give peace and salvation to both the living and the dead.

RESPONSE
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
1)       For Chief Anthony Nweke, that he may share the light of Christ resurrection, come into new life, happiness and peace.(R)

2)       For those whom this world is to be and end all, that they may come to believe the good news of salvation, renew their lives and have faith in Christ who is the way, truth and the life. (R)

3)       For those suffering on account of bereavement that the generosity of their fellow Christian may give them new union and help them to relieve their anxiety.(R)

4)       For all who are gathered to pray for Chief Anthony Nweke, that we may live, act and speaking full realization that one day we shall be called upon to answer for our thoughts, words and actions.(R)

5)       For the sick and  suffering that Jesus Christ who showed mercy, bestow upon them every heavenly blessing and restore to them lasting health or mind and body.(R)

6)       For all believers who have passed from this life, that our Lord Jesus Christ to whom it belongs to grant mercy and to spare their sins and welcome them into His Kingdom of peace and Glory.(R)
